1. Autonomous Society:

For every purpose under heaven, there is a season and a time. SAS crossed yet a mile stone. The birth of two autonomous Societies of St. Ann is a Millennium gift born in the Jubilee year a new venture… a new journey… a new entity… It is a historical and unprecedented step that took place on November 21, 1999, the anniversary of the foundation of the Society and the two entities are christened as

Society of the Sisters of St. Ann of Luzern in Switzerland and Society of the Sisters of St. Ann of Luzern in India.

The advantages of the two Generalates are autonomy in functioning, prompt response with more cultural and social sensitivity and information based decision making

2. Federation:

The two Autonomous Societies that are independent of one another in administrative matters are united together through ‘Federation’ by the obligation to live the common Charism and spirituality of the Founder. “We are one in Spirit” is the motto of the Federation. It promotes unity, supports our lives and strengthens the mission.

The Federation Statutes was approved by the Holy See on December 8, 2000 and the regulations, the legal basis, functions and organization was approved by the General Council on January 28, 2002. Every year, the Federation members come together sharing matters arising from the Autonomous Societies for mutual enrichment.

3. Platinum Jubilee of Indian Mission:

A significant milestone in the chronicles of the Society… We flash through the 75 years of our existence in India… We delve into the history right down from its foundation of its edifice… A time to explore the manifold blessings of the Lord… The splendid memories we cherish of our Founder… The magnificent thoughts we bear of our Pioneers… The grateful sentiments we carry of our God..

Our hearts pulsated with vibrations of jubilation and exultation, with devotion and gratitude… Keeping track of all the glorious achievements… On January 2002, we remembered the road traveled… the struggles encountered… the fruits borne…

4. Centenary Celebration:

100 years of Divine Providence… the rich experiences of God’s unfathomable love… A sacred moment to recall where and when it all began… It is a living legend… to recall the revered past with gratitude… to live the present with enthusiasm and to look at the future with hope…

Heeding to the Spirit, aiming high, treasuring the past, using the present, trusting the future, praising God and striving to the end… Like an eagle on the horizon of grace, the Society soars forward and upward… New melodies break forth in jubilation, taking us back to our glorious past.

The Society in India began its inaugural function on September 12, 2007, the birthday of our Founder with meaningful gestures. The whole Congregation prepared itself enthusiastically at spiritual realm and in mission areas throughout the preparatory period to encounter that great day.

The three Provinces celebrated the finale at Bheemunipatnam, Vijayawada and in Bangalore and the East African Region at Morrogoro with much spirit meaningfully. Surrounded by the Bishops, Clergy, Religious, friends, benefactors and guests from Switzerland, Africa and India, the Centenary celebration will end at the Generalate in Secunderabad on January 31, 2009, with the Eucharistic celebration.
