Formation

An energetic spirit with profound love is the impelling force of our commitment:

Our religious vocation is a response of Yes Lord. here am I to Jesus who called.

“Come follow me”.

It is an answer of love and an answer of obedience.

It is a response to the Master who called, “The harvest is plenty, but the labourers are few” (Lk.10:2). The aim of formation is to discover and to respond to God’s unique call, to follow Christ and to continue his mission according to our Congregational Charism

1. ASPIRANCY Duration: One year
Goal: To give the aspirant an understanding of Christian vocation and her call through SAL family and it’s mission.

2. STUDENT CANDIDACY: DURATION (only for the SSC Students): Two years.
Goal: To prepare for the future mission through needed academic studies as well as to bring in intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development.

3. POSTULANCY:
DURATION: One year
Goal: To grow in the knowledge and understanding of the life and mission of SAL.

4. Pre-Novitiate:
DURATION: Six months
Goal: To prepare for the life in the novitiate giving human, spiritual, religious, intellectual, Socio-apostolic and SAL formation.

5. NOVITIATE
DURATION: 2 YEARS (1 year canonical & 1 Year Post Novitiate)
Goal: To be equipped for God’s mission in accordance with SAL Constitution.

The fruit of Formation: Total Self giving at the First Profession

6. JUNIORATE; Duration: 5 to 9 Years
Goal: To foster progressive integral growth by consolidating the spiritual, affective, apostolic, community and academic aspects within the frame work of the SAL identity.

7. Final Commitment:
The result of formation is

To grow and glow in SAL
With passion for Christ and passion for humanity
Holding dear the treasures of the vocation

“Many are called but few are chosen” (M:22:14)

It is a process of reaching out to the young girls of good catholic families possessing an aptitude to be another Christ’ to the wounded humanity.

Goals:

• Motivating through continued contact to discover the gift and grace of vocation
• Encouraging to respond to God’s call daringly in an attitude of faith
• Bringing to awareness the fullness of life in SAL way of life

Basic academic Qualification:
SSC/Intermediate/Any Degree
