Italian Mission

Italian Mission

“We are called to make the mission of Jesus our own: we are to give form to this mission. It is an honour to be collaborators with God”.

(Spirituality book Experience God in every day life)

Paying heed to the mandate of the Lord “You shall be my witnesses to the ends of the earth” (Lk.24:28) and in faithfulness to the vision and spirit of our Founder, the Society seeks and searches carnestly the will of God manifested in the crying needs of the time, in places where God beckons us to implant our Society and extend our services by revealing the merciful love of God. So the first batch of 3 Sisters reached Italy on June 30, 2004. At present there are three established communities and a mission coordinator animates the mission under the directives of the General Council, India.

Apostolic and Pastoral Activities

a) Pastoral Ministry in the Clinic and Parish

Sr. Grace Mary is actively engaged in pastoral ministry at Clinic Villa Salus. She attends to the spiritual needs of the patients by offering spiritual accompaniment to patients and their families, visiting and praying with the sick, and distributing Holy Communion to the bedridden.

We sincerely appreciate her dedicated and generous service in our parish, along with her committed pastoral ministry in the clinic, where she faithfully coordinates and maintains the church activities of the parish.

Her commitment, availability, and joyful service are a blessing and an inspiration to us.

b) Old Age Home Ministry

Sr. Sajini and Sr. Rosmi are dedicated to serving in the Home for the Aged, where they carry out their ministry with compassion and commitment. They serve as nurses, providing attentive care to the elderly residents and ensuring their physical well-being.

Along with their medical service, they lovingly attend to the spiritual needs of the residents. Recognizing the importance of spiritual nourishment, the sisters pray the Rosary with them every day and participate in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Saturdays.

With deep pastoral concern, they prepare the elderly for a peaceful and grace-filled passing and help them receive the Anointing of the Sick whenever required. Through this holistic ministry of care—both physical and spiritual—the sisters bring comfort, dignity, and hope to the elderly entrusted to them.
