Objective of the Eucharistic Congress
Responding to the mandate of the V General Chapter—“Rooted in Christ, Ever Faithful to the Charism and Responding to the Signs of the Times”—and inspired by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Society of the Sisters of St. Ann (SAL) has joyfully dedicated 2026 as the Year of the Holy Eucharist.
This sacred journey invites every Sister to deepen her personal encounter with Jesus, who is truly present in the Holy Eucharist. It is a call to be transformed by His abiding love and to draw enduring strength from the Bread of Life.
The Inaugural Ceremony
The Eucharistic Congress opened with great solemnity, profound grace, and deep devotion. We were blessed to celebrate this occasion with 104 participating Sisters, along with invited guests, local priests, and women religious.
The keynote address was delivered by our Superior General, Sr. Pauline Augustine. She warmly welcomed the gathering and invited everyone to enter wholeheartedly into this sacred journey of Eucharistic renewal. She encouraged every Sister to become more deeply rooted in Christ and to live the Eucharistic mystery with renewed fidelity to the SAL Charism.
A Three-Day Journey of Eucharistic Grace (July 3–5)
Theme: “Be the Body of Christ”
Journeying with our Founder, Fr. Wilhelm Meyer, the Eucharistic Congress unfolded as a three-day pilgrimage of grace, prayer, and spiritual renewal.

Day 1 – “This Is My Body”
Encountering Christ, who offers Himself completely in the Holy Eucharist, revealing the boundless love of the Father. -
Day 2 – “You Are the Body of Christ”
Recognizing our shared identity as members of Christ’s Body, called to communion, unity, and mission. -
Day 3 – “SAL: Be the Body of Christ”
Embracing our vocation as Sisters of St. Ann to become a living Eucharistic presence through self-giving love, joyful service, and faithful commitment to our Charism.
The Closing Ceremony
The Eucharistic Congress concluded with a solemn and joyful Eucharistic Celebration presided over by His Eminence Cardinal Poola Antony, Archbishop of Hyderabad.
In his inspiring homily, Cardinal Antony offered words of guidance and encouragement to the Sisters, calling them to continue their Eucharistic mission with renewed faith and dedication.
The Congress came to a grace-filled conclusion as the participants departed with renewed spirits, strengthened faith, and a deeper commitment to becoming the living Body of Christ in the world.
